Electoral academic cooperation between the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) and The Election Commission Malaysia (ECM) and The Visit of the ECM Chairman, Commissioner, and Secretary

          The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) and The Election Commission Malaysia (ECM) have had long outstanding relationships. The ECM sent its delegations to attend the first and the second Electoral officials International Conference held in Thailand under the co-host between the ECT and AEC (Australian Electoral Commission) and also participate in the International Electoral Observation Programme 2006 (MP Election).

          During 30 th – 31 st January 2007, Tan Sri Abdul Rashid bin Ab. Rahman, ECM Chairman, Dr.Chu Ling Heng, ECM member, and Datuk Kamaruzaman b Mohd Noor, ECM Secretary, visited the ECT Office to discuss about the cooperation between the Election Commisions of the two countries.

          On 31 st January 2007, Mr.Apichart Sukhagganond, ECT Chairman, and Tan Sri Abdul Rachid bin Ab. Rahman, ECM Chairman, signed the Letters of Exchange at the ECT Office. So then, the two Election Commissions will proceed the cooperative activities through the regular exchange of researches, study trips, joint courses and projects and through the organization of workshops, seminars and conferences.
