Guidelines on Posting Election Campaign Notices and Displaying
Election Campaign Signs for the Election of the Bangkok Governor,
Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Council,
the Pattaya City Mayor, and Members of the Pattaya City Council

The Office of the Election Commission of Thailand publicises the guidelines on posting election campaign notices and displaying election campaign signs for the Election of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Governor, Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Council, the Pattaya City Mayor and Members of the Pattaya City Council. The purpose is to ensure that candidates, campaign assistants and all relevant persons comply with the Act on the Election of Members of Local Assemblies or Local Administrators B.E. 2562 (2019), as amended up to (No. 2) B.E. 2566 (2023), and the Regulation of the Election Commission on Campaign Methods and Prohibited Characteristics in Election Campaigning for Members of Local Assemblies or Local Administrators B.E. 2563 (2020), as amended up to (No. 2) B.E. 2563 (2020)

1. Election campaign notices shall not exceed 30 centimetres in width and 42 centimetres in length.

2. Election campaign signs shall not exceed 130 centimetres in width and 245 centimetres in length.

Candidates may indicate their name, photograph, candidate number, political party name, political party logo, symbols, campaign policies, motto, slogan and candidate-related biographical information, provided that the full name, address of the employer and producer, quantity produced and date of production are clearly displayed.

Where political party information or images of individuals are used for election campaigning, prior consent must be obtained from such individual or political party and such use must not contravene Section 34 of the Act. Images of candidates contesting election for members of local assemblies or local administrators within the same local government unit may also be used.

The Election Committee of Local Administration shall have duties and powers to prescribe:

1. The number of campaign notices and campaign signs permitted;

2. Rules and procedures for posting and display;

3. Designated locations for posting and display.

For elections in Bangkok Metropolitan and Pattaya City, candidates may prepare election campaign notices up to ten times the number of polling stations and election campaign signs up to five times the number of polling stations of each local government unit.

Campaign notices and signs may only be posted or displayed at locations designated by the Election Committee of Local Administration.
