Election Expenses of Candidates for the Bangkok Governor,
Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Council,
the Pattaya City Mayor, and Members of the Pattaya City Council

The Office of the Election Commission of Thailand publicises the election expenses of candidates for the Bangkok Governor, Members of Bangkok Metropolitan Council, Members of the Pattaya City Council, and Pattaya City Mayor, which will be held on Sunday, 28 June 2026, as follows:

·         in the case of an election on account of  the expiration of the term,  the  calculation  shall  be made of expenses incurred as from one hundred eighty days prior to the date of the expiration of the term up to the election date; 

·       in the case of an election to fill a vacancy, the calculation shall be made of expenses incurred as from the date of the vacancy up to the election date.

          1. Election Expenses for the Elections of the Bangkok Governor and Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council

·   A candidate for election as Bangkok Governor may incur election expenses not exceeding 49,000,000 baht.

·  Candidates for election as Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council in Samphanthawong District, Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Bang Rak  District, Pathum Wan District, and Phra Nakhon District may incur election expenses not exceeding 820,000 baht per electoral district.

·      Candidates for election as Members of the  Bangkok Metropolitan  Council in  Ratchathewi District, Phaya Thai District, Khlong San District, Bangkok Yai District, Huai Khwang District, Watthana District, Rat Burana District, Thung Khru District, Khlong Toei District, Yan Nawa District, and Sathon District may incur election expenses not exceeding 900,000 baht per electoral district.

·        Candidates for election as Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council in Bang Phlat  District, Saphan Sung District, Thawi Watthana District, Bang Bon District, Khan Na Yao District, Wang Thonglang District, Bang Kho Laem District, Bangkok Noi District, Min Buri District, Phra Khanong District, Lak Si District, Din Daeng District, Bang Na District, Lat Phrao District, Taling Chan District, Dusit District,   Thon Buri District, and Suan Luang District may incur election expenses not exceeding 1,000,000 baht per electoral district.

·        Candidates for election as Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council in  Phasi  Charoen District, Bang Sue District, Bueng Kum District, Bang Kapi District, Nong Khaem District, Nong Chok District, Chatuchak District, and Chom Thong District may incur election expenses not exceeding 1,050,000 baht per electoral district.

·    Candidates for election as Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council in Bang Khun Thian District, Khlong Sam Wa District, Lat Krabang District, Don Mueang District, Prawet District, Sai Mai District, Bang Khen District, and Bang Khae District may incur election expenses not exceeding 1,150,000 baht per electoral district.

           2. Election Expenses for the Elections of the Pattaya City Mayor and Members of the Pattaya City Council

·     A candidate for election as Pattaya City Mayor may incur election expenses not exceeding 2,000,000 baht.

·       Candidates for election as Members of the Pattaya City Council may  incur  election expenses not exceeding 400,000 baht per electoral district.

          The Office of the Election Commission requests all candidates and relevant persons to thoroughly study the details concerning election expenses and to comply with the rules, procedures, and conditions prescribed by law.
