ECT Conducts Capacity-Building Programme for Investigation, Inquiry, and Adjudication Personnel to Enhance Operational Standards

On 15 July 2026 at 09:00 hr., Mr. Sittichote Intaravises, Election Commissioner, presided over the opening ceremony of the Capacity-Building Programme on Operational Guidelines for Standardising Investigation, Inquiry, and Adjudication Procedures of the Office of the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) – Batch 1. The ceremony was also attended by Police Colonel Jarungvit Phumma, Adviser to the Election Commissioner and colleagues. The opening report was delivered by Mr. Kanchit Charoenin, Deputy Secretary-General. The programme was held at Centra by Centara Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
The programme was organised to strengthen the capacity of the ECT's investigation and inquiry personnel by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and operational practices in accordance with a unified standard. The objective is to improve the efficiency, transparency, and legal compliance of election-related investigations, inquiries, and case adjudication.
The training programme consists of two batches, with 100 participants in each batch.
Batch 1 is conducted from 15–17 July 2026, while Batch 2 will be held from 22–24 July 2026.
A total of 200 investigation and inquiry officers from the ECT headquarters and Provincial Offices of the Election Commission of Thailand are participating in the programme.
Participants receive both lectures and practical training on a range of specialised topics, including technology-assisted investigations, digital evidence collection, AI-assisted identity verification, financial investigations, preparation of investigation reports, case analysis and legal opinions, and presentation of factual findings.
The programme also includes practical investigation exercises designed to enable participants to effectively apply the knowledge and skills acquired to their official duties. The training is supported by expert speakers from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and Dr. Thammawit Samerchuea, Managing Director of DefenceX Technology Co., Ltd.
