Progress Update on the Consideration of Objections to the Selection of
the Senators

The Office of the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) wishes to inform the public of the progress in the consideration of objections to the selection of the Senators, which is currently being conducted in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the laws. The ECT has gathered facts, evidence, and other relevant information from all parties concerned to ensure that its consideration is comprehensive, impartial, and in full compliance with the laws.

With regard to the public forum entitled “Two Years Since the Selection of the Senators”, held on 12 July 2026 at the Parliament Building, the Office of the Election Commission of Thailand wishes to clarify that the four participants in the forum
Mr. Direk Phornsima, Mr. Tharin Phanthumai, Mr. Sananchai Chuaudomthanikit, and
Mr. Montri Chieblaem have already provided information and statement to the ECT in their capacity as witnesses in this case.

The ECT will consider the information, witness testimony, and evidence provided by these individuals together with all other evidence contained in the case file, based on the principles of factual accuracy, laws, and fairness to all parties. Upon completion of the consideration process, the Office of the Election Commission of Thailand (OECT) will publicly announce the outcome of the case.
