Election Commissioner Mr. Chirute Visalachitra Visits Bangkok Polling Stations to Monitor Election Operations in Bangkok Yai District

        28 June 2026, 10.00 hours – Mr. Chirute Visalachitra, Election Commissioner, accompanied by Mr. Bandit Wongsa, Specialist to the Election Commissioner, visited polling stations for the election of Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Council and Bangkok Governor at the tent near New Charan Auto Repair Garage (before Charan Sanitwong
Soi 5) in Bangkok Yai District, Bangkok. The visit aimed to observe the performance of the Committee of a Polling Station, receive briefings on election operations in the area, and monitor the voting process. During the visit, Mr. Chirute also exercised his voting right as an eligible voter at Polling Stations No. 62–63.

          At 10.30 hours, the delegation visited Polling Station No. 1 at the tent located behind the Viharn of Luang Pho Thongkham at Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan, Wat Arun Subdistrict, Bangkok Yai District, Bangkok. Later, at 11.00 hours, the delegation continued to Polling Stations No. 2–3 at the tent on the grounds of Wat Hong Rattanaram School, where the delegation monitored election procedures and received updates from the officers of the polling station on the conduct of the election.

          The visit was conducted to observe election operations at polling stations and ensure compliance with the law, relevant regulations, and procedures prescribed by the Election Commission, while supporting the orderly conduct of the election under the principles of integrity, transparency, impartiality, and fairness.

          The Office of the Election Commission encourages all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote in the election of Members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Council and Bangkok Governor on Sunday, 28 June 2026, from 08.00 to 17.00 hours, at their designated polling stations.
