ECT Confirms Review of Senate Election Case to Be Completed
by August and a Meeting will be Convened for a Vote

The Office of the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) wishes to provide an update on its consideration of the case concerning the acquisition of members of the Senate (Senators). The Election Commission has convened 8 meetings to consider the case. It has continuously examined the facts, evidence, and relevant legal issues in accordance with its authority, duties, and procedures prescribed by law.

At each meeting, the Election Commission has considered the details of the case file comprehensively and carefully to ensure that its decision is based on complete facts and evidence, while giving due regard to accuracy, fairness, and the rights of all parties concerned.

The review of the case file is expected to be completed within August 2026. Thereafter, the Election Commission will convene a meeting to vote in accordance with
its authority and the procedures prescribed by law. The Office of the Election Commission will subsequently publicize the outcome for public information.

The Office of the Election Commission reaffirms that the consideration of this case
is conducted independently, free from direction or interference by any individual or party, and is based primarily on the facts, evidence, and provisions of the law.
