Chairman of the Election Commission Presents Certificates and Academic Insignia at the Closing Ceremony of the PNT 2 Training Programme

        On 13 August 2026 at 15.20 hours, Mr. Narong Klunwarin, Chairman of the Election Commission, presided over the closing ceremony of the Political Leader Development Program in a Democratic Regime, Class 2 (PNT 2) and presented certificates and academic insignia to the program graduates. Police Major Detchapon Korsanan, Executive Director of the Institute of Political Party and Election Science, delivered the report at Vayupak 5–6 Meeting Rooms,
5th Floor, Centara Life Government Complex and Convention Centre, Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok.

          Also attending the ceremony were Mr. Anan Suwannarat, Election Commissioner, and Mr. Narong Rakroi, Election Commissioner, together with members of the Program Executive Committee, executives of the Office of the Election Commission, and participants of the PNT 2 program.

          The Political Leader Development Program in a Democratic Regime, Class 2 (PNT 2) was organised to develop capabilities and strengthen political organisations, foster integrity and ethical values, and promote political participation within a democratic system. The program also aims to prepare personnel to become political leaders with the knowledge, understanding and capabilities required to manage organisations, agencies and the country effectively and sustainably.

          Participants comprised of personnel from a wide range of sectors, including political party personnel, national and local politicians, mid-level executives from government agencies, State enterprises and independent organisations, academics, media professionals, business-sector representatives, artists, entertainers and representatives from other sectors. A total of 143 participants successfully completed the program.

          Prior to the closing ceremony, participants presented their respective groups' practical projects and received feedback. The projects covered topics including promoting public understanding of politics and elections, reducing the incidence of invalid ballots, applying technology and digital media to support election administration, and promoting public participation in political processes.

          The Chairman of the Election Commission then delivered the closing remarks, followed by the presentation of certificates and academic insignia to the program graduates. He subsequently joined the graduates, Program Executive Committee members and executives of the Office of the Election Commission for a group photograph.

          The program aimed to equip its graduates with knowledge, capabilities, integrity and a sense of responsibility, enabling them to apply the knowledge and experience gained to their duties and contribute to the advancement of the country's political system across all dimensions, including the political, economic and social spheres. The graduates are also expected to serve as an important force in strengthening democracy and promoting its sustainable development.
